Are there any normal western style dentists in Taiwan?

What is deep cleaning called in Mandarin, can anybody chime in?

Second Longwood. I also go there and its much better than local dentists. Clean, sanitary interior; you don’t get Hep-B vibes like you do at some places.

3500 NT is around what it would cost in North America for a cleaning without insurance. But in North America it would be done by a dental technician and the dentist would come in after to check… here it’s done by a dentist (which IMO is a waste of their time.)

I think it helps prevent further problems since they get rid of the germs under the gumline. I avoided the dentist for 10 years when I was younger and had to do deep cleaning before I started developing tooth problems, and now I’m mid 30s with no cavities. I think if the germs are left below the gumline, they’ll cause bone loss and eventually cavities. The normal clinics that use the water drill to quickly clean your teeth over 5 mins won’t fix those issues.
