Are two way radios legal in Taiwan?

Not a lawyer but walkie talkies are commonly used by private security guard you see at schools, stores, etc. I think you can figure whether they are legal from there.
I bought a set at Carrefour about 15 years ago as gifts for my nieces in SA. I guess they must be legal if I could buy them at a big department store.

Presumably, the kind you would buy locally at a department store have been approved for use at whatever frequency they use. If you buy from overseas, maybe not.
