Arrested dad wants answers after daughter draws gun pic

Some countries have citizens…some countries have subjects…this is just sick.

"OTTAWA - Jessie Sansone and his family are reeling after he was arrested and strip searched by police after his four-year-old daughter drew a picture of a man with a gun in her Kitchener, Ont., kindergarten class.

The 26-year-old father of four said Saturday the sketch was supposed to be him, getting the bad guys and monsters.

The school must have thought differently, as after Nevaeh drew it Wednesday, the school contacted Family and Children’s Services and they called police.

Waterloo Police met Sansone at the school when he tried to pick up his kids he was told he was charged with possession of a firearm. He was then handcuffed and put him in one of the several squad cars waiting outside, he said."
Teachers trying to be social workers and showing their brutal incompetence. Same with the local police. Is it any wonder that most police departments in Canada now are having trouble filling jobs?

Furthermore, with Ontario having the financial problems they are having in terms of overspending and credit rating deductions, I hope they start laying off and firing these type of busybody teachers. And that these teachers have to leave to teach in Asia where their moral crusading would be met with dead ears by school administration and the laughter of other expats.

I hope this father sues the police and school board big time! Am glad Sun Media are broadcasting stories such as this. I certainly don’t think the CBC would.

WTF?

You can imagine a competent teacher asking some gentle questions to ascertain what the kid thinks she drew (just in case) … but that’s just … yeah.

And there are some Taiwanese people who think Taiwan should be made an American protectorate subject to US Law.

Umm, this happened in Canada, what does this have to do with US law?
I guess we all just look alike :canada: :America:

Further coverage of this from The National Post:
This happened in Kitchener, Ontario…Canada.

"And there was a gun … a clear plastic toy gun that shoots soft plastic biodegradable BBs and retails for around $20 at Walmart.

Police apologized and sent Mr. Sansone home several hours after his ordeal began.

“The officer said Jessie was actually a friendly guy,” Inspector Thaler said. “The whole family was friendly, and the detective at the end of it said it was almost like an unremarkable event.”

Unremarkable for police, perhaps, but for Jessie Sansone it is one picture that he won’t soon forget."

"“This is obviously an isolated incident,” says Gregg Bereznick, the superintendent of education for the Waterloo Regional District School Board. “And the teacher responded in the way they are supposed to and Family and Child Services responded in the way they are supposed to.”

While Mr. Sansone was being escorted from the back of the school, reportedly in handcuffs, other police officers were at his home, scooping his wife. She was there with their 15-month old baby. They brought her to the police station. The couple’s three children were taken to Family and Children’s Service for questioning."
His home was searched (warrant?) during his detention.

LOL sorry, wasn’t paying attention. I do know where Ontario is. Guns … America … somehow, you don’t think of Canadians as having guns. Or at least if they do, they only point them at moose.

Of course not :unamused: Candians wear plaid shirts, Americans wear mu-mus. Easy to tell the difference.

Ezra Levant goes after the lunacy of PC-thinking that went into this arrest.

Your link doesn’t seem to be working.
I found this one of Levant discussing this incident:

Time to out the “teacher” and have her house searched for drugs and have her strip searched.

That’s insane. Kids draw guns. I used to draw guns as a kid. They show 'em on TV and in the movies.

Even in Lost in Space and Star Trek guns were the norm.
