There was a case recently where they decided that Australian workplace protections applied to a Philippina working remotely in the Philippines. As the role was for the Australian business.

There was a case were someone who quit his/her job in Queensland that was found to be entitled to long service leave to be paid out even though s/he had only worked in Queensland for a few days before quitting.
S/he had worked for the same company in another country and another state for the past 10 years.
That’s specific to Queensland though as long service leave legislation is state based.
