I’ve got an old beater Suzuki (white) that is losing its clear coat, has a couple of rust spots, and could use a proper repair on the rear door sill. Water pools there and it has rusted a bit. The car isn’t worth much, but it runs good. I painted a few cars when I was a kid, and I was thinking about doing a few spot repairs primering it, and maybe cutting out the rear door damage and either finding a replacement to jam in (and have welded properly later) or else doing a sheet metal / fiberglass home brew repair on it.
Anyone know where to get fiberglass resin and materials, bondo , putty, rust inhibitor/ primer, blocking clay, cutting polish, and other stuff? I have a few tools, and have a paint match. If i can just do some repairs, blend in the new paint, polish it up, and then keep it waxed, it might look good enough.
Either that, or a cheap painter that won’t sneer at my beast or charge me too much. the car isn’t worth spending too much on.
Thanks in advance!
