Is this a feature and can it be enabled?
I found that posts are not automatically “updated” after editing, i.e. I need to do a manual refresh/reload with my browser.

This would be a change you make to your browser. I guess you would want it to either not use it’s Memory Cache, or keep it very small. You are probably best served leaving things the way they are and just hitting a quick CTRL-R (COMMAND-R in Macs?) to manually refresh your window

Nope, it’s not the browser because it works in other forums.
What you describe doesn’t happen to me. Try a different browser, or search www.phpbb.com and get back to me with a different tactic
