Autocheckers Facebook tec issues. Help please

If you’re interested in the Autocheckers page, then please feel free to join here.

I can’t seem to resolve this issue, so any help is appreciated from you facebook pro’s.

I have set up an Autocheckers page on facebook. I was led to believe by that the page could not by an individual account and must be a branch from my own personal page (which I don’t want to do really). Is there any way to resolve this?

Also… As a branch page from my personal page, I am given the option to “use facebook as Autocheckers”. This sounds like the thing I want to do, but once I choose this option I don’t really understand the difference. Is there one?

Also, I don’t seem to be able to bring up a ‘friends’ box at all in my Autocheckers page.

Also, if, with my phone I log into my “Jamie Alton” page from which my “Autocheckers” page is attached to, then there is no actual way of posting on, or viewing my “Autocheckers” page.

I believe that potentially all of these issues are the same single issue, which is that my “Autocheckers” page is in fact useless as it seems to be mostly hidden from view. If this is the case, then is there actually any way at all to set up a company page on its own, without having to be linked to a personal account and running in the background somewhere?

If you actually read through all of that, then thanks for your patience. If you can actually help, then I’d seriously appreciate it as I find facebook infuriating at the best of times.

Cheers.

You’re confusing accounts with pages. You have a Jamie Alton profile and account, not a Jamie Alton page. You have an Autocheckers page attached to that account. Pages are different from accounts. I can “Like” the Autocheckers page. I can’t “Like” Jamie Alton. Jamie Alton has friends. Autocheckers doesn’t.

Your Autocheckers page is perfectly visible. When people like it or post on it, that will also show up on their profiles, and their friends will see it. It’s searchable too. And your updates on that page are indeed displaying as by “Autocheckers”, not “Jamie Alton”.

How are you accessing Facebook from your phone? Via the Facebook app? That doesn’t do everything that the website does.

Here’s a bit more info:
How are Pages different from personal profiles?

Thanks for the help Joe. Regardless of how. I reach Facebook, through browser or app, I cannot post under my page.

I prefer not to “use as…” I could be wrong but I think this is a one way trip. I have multiple pages, just added a new one this morning, and it all seems to work just fine without doing the “use facebook as…” option.

When you go to the website from your phone, it’s probably showing the mobile version. You can get to the Autocheckers page by searching. Here it is:
m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=18 … 71&refid=0

Can you post from there? If not, I guess you need to view the desktop version. Back on your Facebook mobile home page, tap More > Desktop site.

Thanks once again everyone for the advice. I have figured out one or two things at this point.

I have realised that in true Facebook fashion, they have hidden the ‘pages’ function on the ‘friends’ function of the mobile version. You must click ‘friends’ to discover the option for ‘pages’ which is erm…not clever at all IMO.

I can therefore now update my Autocheckers page, but am still limited to uploading one photo at a time at this point, unless I discover another hidden function. Perhaps this is a phone issue though, I have not yet confirmed this point, but I’m still working on it. Edit: Yes, it was a phone issue. I’m sorted now.
