Democrats at WaPo, and they’re almost all Democrats at WaPo, seem still to be learning about the progressive wing of their party. Like they never really realized what the progressives want or said or did.
If it’s not the case that many haven’t finished their grieving, so are in different places emotionally, then I think the Democrats may have an intraparty war on their hands sometime soon. The grounds are shifting by the hour over there.
I’m hardly paying attention, but watching part of the recent DNC chair forum, the position should probably go to Ken Martin. That said, I liked Faiz Shakir, and Marianne Williamson just gets “it”. Ben Wikler seems like too much of the same old blather.
What’s going on? Harris and the Dems stole all their supporters’ money, sold them a crock that they were going to wipe the floor with Donny, and then they scarpered with the cash? Is that it?
I had watched part of the original event right after it happened and wished msnbc had mic’d or shown the interruptions. Most of it seemed to be about climate change.
I’d love to see the footage on the ground but not going to watch ‘keep the receipts’ editorializing because she sounds patronizing. Though she is correct that one nominee did her intro as a song!
Anybody else ever watch PBS NewsHour Fridays on PBS? Jonathan Capehart (he took Mark Shields’ seat alongside the token conservative David Brooks) is hilariously condescending, like a parody of condescension. I realize he’s also a functionary of some kind in the Democrat party, so it’s a head scratcher how he’s a talking head on a state funded news channel.
Anyway, that’s him emceeing this DNC fiasco.
Kudos to him for appearing in public. His self awareness must be at zero, though. He’s pretty cringe, him and his ego both.
