Had a great bottle of Jacob’s Creek bubbly here the other day for just NT$1000. However, the place was overrun with high-speed rail workers. Is there anywhere they don’t go?
no there isn’t we are everywhere, besides at work that is.
This place is okay, although if they supposedly are doing good business, why not serve more wine by the glass? And get rid of the Cawarra - everybody and his/her dog are using that as house wine these days…
Went to Bacchus, and discovered some very nice red wine from New Zealand; Kimblefield, i think. A very nice drop. This place needs to improve its kitchen , though.
I hadn’t been to Bacchus for a while, but was pleasantly surprised that on tonight’s visit I stumbled into a belly dancing performance by a group of very nice local girls. They apparently had their pic in one of today’s English newspapers. The belly dancers perform at Bacchus every Thursday. Belly dancing! What a change from the boring band scene in Taipei!
Has anyone been to Bacchus lately?

Drinking wine and watching bellies dancing sounds like a good way to spend an evening.
I would think tis place is closed by now. I go to G’day once in a while, and I never noticed a wine bar next door.
