I would like to learn chinese as international student in Taiwan and get a bachelors degree.
Do any programs like this exist? I want to learn chinese and work towards a bachelors degree, and ultimately use this degree to teach English in Taiwan legally.
Are Taiwanese degrees valid for teaching English in Taiwan?
Can an English speaking Canadian take a university degree program in Taiwan?
Are there any university degree programs that are taught in the English language, presumably for foreigners?

College diploma, but I do not have a bachelor’s degree
Have taken Chinese classes and understand some basics.
I have spent time in Taiwan before with my girlfriend’s family, so I am familiar with their culture and cities.
Willing to go to school i Taipei city, Taipei county, or Taichung city
I have looked online, but have a hard time telling if this is something popular, or if there’s a lot of dormant websites about the topic because it is not very popular.
I hope I have provided enough information. This forum seems like a wealth of good information.

I study at NTNU (National Taiwan Normal University) Finishing my bachelor in “Chinese language and culture for international students” This is taught in both English and Chinese, understandably the further one progresses in the course the less english is utilised, which should be a non-issue given the nature of the course.
The only hassle is this is taught at their Linkou Campus, in taipei county. If you don’t mind a bit of a trek (mind you transportation is free if taking bus from heping rd) or are willing to settle down outside of taipei city then it shouldn’t really be a deal breaker.
NTNU is the only uni i was able to find which offered a chinese language and culture course (not saying there aren’t others, i just wasn’t able to find any) taught in english offered at a reasonable price and with comparative international recognition.
Of course if you are a Canadian citizen and hold a BA (regardless of where it is issued i believe) you will be able to find work teaching english, although I believe if you are taking the effort to learn chinese at such a high level you should consider completing an MBA or the like and source out jobs with more interesting work and higher pay were you can utilise your newly acquired skills
Yeah. There are different types too; some unis (like NTU) offer cultural/classical/literature based programmes, some offer business-based programmes, some have different ‘streams’ that you can choose (business, general, literature) etc…
Unfortunately I’m not too sure how you can search it :S The NTNU office holds a lady who administers the scholarship programme to international students, if you can make contact with her she may be able to point you towards the universities that offer those types of programmes
