When i arrived in Taiwan, first i lived in Kaohsiung for few months. While there i started some course in GaoShiDa but i was not that happy as i started in June my classes and the whole class were Taiwanese teenagers living abroad who visited Taiwan during summer to learn how write/read Chinese (not speak… they DID speak… just needed to read and write…)! I was the only western whith absolutely no idea of Chinese. Of course the teacher (and old lady) was speaking from day 1 Chinese… :bravo: … i was like 
… so after 1,5 months just gave up… also planned to Taipei to get a job.
Anyways, no i am moving back to Kaohsiung for few months before i move out from the country and i wish i have some kind of intensive courses. In the mean time while in Taipei i did continue 1 to 1 classes but i cannot say i am impressed with my progress.
So, i cannot decide whether i want to go to a school or find a teacher for private lessons. In any case, i am looking for a 3day/week schedule.
I wonder if you could suggest to me teachers doing private lessons or schools that may run private or class courses. I live in the XinYi Elementary School MRT area but transport for me should not be a big problem with MRT (do not ride a scooter… hehe). Even for private lessons with a teacher i would rather go to a school to have the classes as i will feel more disciplined and manage to keep a schedule in my daily life.
i checked past posts like this one : viewtopic.php?f=40&t=117342&hilit=kaohsiung&start=20 but was mainly focusing on dorms and monkey issues …
