Bail Money

Hello,

Last year I had to pay $50000 NT to get out of jail. Since the case was dismissed I have yet to receive any information for the money I paid as a deposit. The guaranter bill was paid by my friend and I later reimbursed him. We went to collect the money months later and they said the papers were not processed yet. I have yet to see any court documents and I went to the police station to explain my situation for my visa, ( I am currently on an expired student visa ) and they said to come back when all the court papers are mailed. Just wondering what anybody thought on this or how can I go about getting my money back?

Thanks

Write to the cleck of the court with your case number I would imagine.

At least you would need to submit something in writing to get an answer imho.

Hey thanks, I’ve been to the court house a few times now and they still said no papers were ready yet. Anyways thanks for the tip. Im just worried I will not receive any of the money, at least thats what I’ve heard

OK, I’m being nosey, but what exactly do you have to do in Taiwan to deserve 50K bail?

Ignore if necessary.

JD, jealous ? Was yours not that high then ?

I paid bail once for someone and it takes rather long to get the money back. Bail was paid in November, the person was fined NT 5000 which he paid immediately and I had to wait until August the next year before I got notified that I could pick up the money.

lol

really!

I thought I was a BIG man at 30K for whacking that old lady with my umbrella (cut in the line in front of me will ya!) and this guy comes along at 50K!

wtf!!

Ok here is my story, it was in the papers.

I met this girl and we were together maybe 7 times. One night she called to come over and I said ok. She arrived drunk from her job (dunno where she works). She wanted to have sex right away, and I just wasnt down to do that, cuz it was late and I had to work the next day. Anyways we ended up having sex but she was less than satisfied, I didnt care and told her to go home if she kept on touching me. She said ok, and trhen we fell asleep. I wake up 1 hour later by movement in the bed or something, and she is peeing all over the bed (sitting upright). She knew what she was doing and I think she was just going to leave after she left her calling card, the pee. But luckily I woke up and caught her. I got angry and yelled, u pee’d on my bed then she said “No I didnt u did”. I got angry and threw her stuff outside and then continued to throw her out. She thought I kept some stuff and was trying to bash in my door. I had to remove her from the building. Anyways, she was attacking me then spit in my face, I couldnt do anything. So I just tossed her out. She lunged at me and grabbed a hold of my basketball shorts and everythime I tried to pry her hands off she would scream at the top off her lungs (its 330 am). My neighbors came running out and got her off me and sent her on her way. I was so pumped full of adrenaline and was so busy telling my story to my neighbors that I didnt have time to clean up the pee, thats when the police showed up, with her. They asked me to grab my stuff and come down to the station. I did, but when I got there no one could tell me why I was there. I cant speak Chinese well enough. Anyways a few hours later a detective called me on the phone down there and siad I was charged with rape. I was extremely worried. 17 hours later im in front of a judge and cuz her story was was over the top. He let me go on that low amount of bail money. The case has since been dismissed. But its was the scariest moment of my life. I dont wanna sound like Im hard done by but I did nothing to the girl, cept for only have sex for a minute. She musta figured that she lost face and this was the only way she could deal with it. OMG, i still wanna kill the girl. And when I got outta jail my room had the piss all over my bed still. I wanted to press charges on her but Im not Taiwanese. Sorry bout the sloppy writing, Im fired up now. I hate her. If its possible I still wanna persue legal action, cuz potentially she could have completely ruined my life.

Well, that beats my old lady story with a stick…geez.

What’s 50k when you have your life back right?

Yeah but the fact of the matter is that people shouldn’t be allowed to accuse people of crimes, especially this one, and attempt to ruin lives and get away with it. I mean I took three losses here. Cleaning up pee is not the worst thing in the world, but having to spend 17 hours in police custody worrying if im ever getting out, then not getting back my 50000.

sometymes it pays to spend the extra time and do the job right

sorry if its too early to laugh about it

ha… ha

You’re lucky she didn’t do the biggy, that’s what normally is done in Taiwan when burglars (read bad people) can’t find anything to steal. It’s in the culture.

Did the police take visa? because I assume you didn’t have 50K in your pocket. Right?

Number 1s. In the shoes usually. Or on the carpet. Its not a cultural thing. Its a burglar thing. Something to do with the adrenalin rush moving things along.

Totally agreed it’s not a cultural thing but I highly doubt the adrenaline rush aspect. That strikes me as more like something one of the buggers that got caught would have included in his confession letter to get a more lenient sentence. Lots of good stories get concocted in those situations, I hear.

The woman has committed a crime, a few, in fact. Libel, malicious prosecution, and wasting police time, as well as assault. Does she have any money? Is it worth suing her?

Ripp her apart, women can’t do this to us, we’re GODS. :smiling_imp:

Yeah… u know what, I wanted 2 sue her. But, I wouldnt know how 2 go about it

2 bad u couldnlt LOL u could teach the bitchez not 2 mess with U LOL :unamused:
