Does anyone know anything about ballroom dancing in Taipei? I’m looking to do competitive dancing, in all types (both standard and latin–I doubt they do American rhythm and smooth here!). Any information about finding a partner (I’m looking for a leader), a studio, etc. would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks!
Are you male or female? What dances are your strongest? Weakest?
Which forms of dance are you interested in specifically?
Swing can be found Wednesdays at Escape near DaAn station.
Latin can be found all week at Barrio near DunHua and AnHe.
If you are male, PM me. I could use a partner also.
I’m a female follower looking for a leader, preferably male. I would like to compete in all ten dances: waltz, foxtrot, viennese waltz, tango, quickstep, rumba, cha, jive, paso, and samba. My strongest are waltz, v-waltz, quickstep, rumba, cha, and jive. I wouldn’t mind working on the American dances either (waltz, foxtrot, v-waltz, tango, rumba, cha, swing, bolero, mambo) and occasional socials (hustle, salsa, argentine tango, charleston, merengue, bachata) for fun.
Thanks for the info on swing and latin. Do you know what kind of latin they do at Barrio? Do you know anything of competition?
I know nothing about competition. And I don’t know what kind of latin at Barrio, you would have to go check it out.
