Bamboo - measure word

Please, does anyone know the measure word for a clump/grove of bamboo?

bam

I would say 一片竹子

一片竹子 certainly isn’t wrong, but with a small cluster of bamboo trees as shown in your pic, I’d be inclined to say 一蓬竹子. Strange things those Asian measure words

Well thanks, I’ll go prepared with both, and see what finds favor.

My special consultant for Chinese subjects, aka wife, says 一叢竹子, but not 100% sure…

there’s several measure words depending on what you are talking about. the common one is ke1 (for like one bamboo). rickroll is right, cong2 is the measure word for like a thicket of them growing together. other measure words include gen1 and zhi1.

Yes, come to think of it, this is probably the best measure word for a clump as shown in your pic. But 片 and 蓬 are also used with clumps/thickets of bamboo.
