have been getting a different kind of banana at a fruit store in yonghe lately. they’re shorter and chunkier, with a more pronounced stem. the skin is thin, and the flesh is fruitier in texture (not as grainy/mealy as a normal banana) and deliciously sweet/sour. a little like the difference between one of those pineapple-custard apples and an ordinary custard apple. if you find some pick them up!
