Bank has become the first in Taiwan to use facial recognition technology to clock into work…yet I still have to bloody dig my house out to find those ancient passbooks to get ANYTHING done.

Taiwan, finding more ways to micromanage employees.

I reckon they could just microchip all us foreigners. Foreigner found drunk, disorientated and pantless in public? Police scan his ass, call up his address, and take him home. Language barrier at bank or hospital? Just scan him or her and all the basic info’s there. The microchip implant might also be trackable using GPS: the Taiwanese public might be very reassured to know that the movements of foreigners are under constant surveillance.
