Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis

Its no secret that I find the prospect of the next POTUS being Barrack Obama *quite disturbing. His questionable background, his refusal to provide solid information on his pre-community organizer’ life affairs, his affiliation with numerous persons whose political stances have been and continue to be ‘anti-USA’ at the mildest description and his seeming naivete’( stupidity) on so many issues that one would expect more than toe-deep knowledge of for one seeking that office - all of these combine together in my, and a great many others, distaste in the selection of Obama for the Presidency this cycle. He is a ‘manufactured’ candidate with some very good string pullers above him. A ‘pre-fab’ construct to use a term from the building trades.

“Obama has been consistent throughout his life regarding his direction and plans. He associates with one type of person whether in business, academics, social, political, or in his personal life. That is, he selects people who will support his objectives that include changing the US into a socialistic command economy while reducing individual rights and increasing the powers of government. You should judge his personal beliefs about racism and global politics by reviewing his 20-year church affiliation and his political associates.
Visit GlobalNewsDaily.com for a snapshot of his associates throughout his life.”

If one has the time, a very good and complete, ‘fact rich’, article about what has come together to bring Obama to the table is here:(it is long and detailed - but a good source for what has transpired to bring Obama and his group out into the light)

Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis

from the link:
"In attempting to capture the significance of Barack Obama’s Radical Left connections and his relation to the Cloward Piven strategy, I constructed following flow chart. It is by no means complete. There are simply too many radical individuals and organizations to include them all here. But these are perhaps the most significant. "

"The chart puts Barack Obama at the epicenter of an incestuous stew of American radical leftism. Not only are his connections significant, they practically define who he is. Taken together, they constitute a who’s who of the American radical left, and guiding all is the Cloward-Piven strategy.

Conspicuous in their absence are any connections at all with any other group, moderate, or even mildly leftist. They are all radicals, firmly bedded in the anti-American, communist, socialist, radical leftist mesh."

This article is a well written source of information on Barrack Obama. Laid out in a well-sourced manner; not relying on rumor, gossip or innuendo.
Well worth reading if one wishes to speak knowledgeably on Barrack Obama and his 2008 US Presidential bid.

*edit added

Tainan Cowboy: If, as you assert, Obama is a radical leftist, then who are the “string pullers” who have “manufactured” him and made him into a viable candidate? The radical leftist rich elite? Anti-American socialists? (Or are they part of a sinister conspiracy to deprive Americans of their freedoms to shoot people, ignore the medically uninsured, and thumb their nose at global mulitlateral consensus? Damn those leftist, atheist, nipple-piercing LGBT tax-raising vegetarian demons from hell! )

But seriously, all fooling aside, what you said sounds
like the same old fear-mongering on the side of the radical right. It’s difficult to attack Obama for probably being fiscally irresponsible because Bush was a terrible deficit spender, and his deruglatory banking policies have just taken a huge bite out of everyone’s ass in the form of the credit crisis. Nor can one play the “Big Brother” card against Obama as the Homeland Security stuff has showed a willingness to invade American’s freedoms in the name of national security. So what can you attack Obama on? A very selective depiction of his list of contacts. That’s makes about as much sense to me as Michael Moore’s attack on the Bush family because companies they did business with had connections to the Bin Laden family. Guilt by association.

You ask Obama to be fully frank and honest about his background, but anybody who was honest wouldn’t want to be prez - or wouldn’t make it anyhow. It’s just a question of who is better at manufacuring their image. They are all manufactured candidates. It’s just a question of how and by who. I don’t think any living person that I have every met or heard about could be fully frank and honest to the media and survive the attack they’d get for it.

The Republican machine especially is a metal storm of anti-Liberal smearing and insinuation. The only reason an inexperienced Democrat can stand up to it at all is because the “experienced” “capable” types f***ed everything up so badly, if you’ll excuse my French.

We’ll see if Obama makes it and how he does. HE CAN’T BE WORSE THAN BUSH!! I think he should win because the Republicans as a party need to GO DOWN over Bush / Cheney et al, to teach them to never again allow a bunch of neo-Con, above-the-law yahoos to take over.

They should have chosen McCain a long time ago. Now it’s time to kick some GOP butt, for the party’s own good, and for the sake of the health of American democracy. I mean, don’t you think they need a time out? Keeping the White House would teach them that they can get away with almost anything.

IMHO.

Mayor ‘just curious’ if Obama is antichrist
I’m guessing the mayor is a Republican, so he will just repeat any lies and smears he hears.

There comes a time when certain posts simply don’t pass the smell test. As they say, “the greater the claim made, the greater the evidence required”. After reading that tract, I realized I wasted an hour of my life. I can find a more substantial literature on young earth creation or on “Bush planned 9/11” quackery than I can for that “Cloward-Piven Strategy” (of course, all of the above are bunk). It sounds suspiciously like the “Shock Doctrine” recently summarized by Naomi Klein or the Republicans’ desire to shrink government through incompetent management engendering distrust by the public. Grover Norquist has famously articulated this perspective to shrink government so it can be “drown in a bathtub”.

In any event, those two previous examples have at least as much corroboration as that Cloward-Piven hypothesis, ie all circumstantial. Moreover, that chart linking Obama to every scary “leftist” element “teh whole wide world! OMG!!!1!!eleven!!” is simply laughable. If you poke around just a little tiny bit, you might find on the internet something called network theory if you’re a geek. If not, you might have heard of Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon. The long and short of the insights from stydying social networks is that human and institution connections have the properties described by a small world network. This is just a fancy way of saying that everyone is connected to everyone else by a very small number of steps, as in the famous six degrees of separation. In other words, I could connect Obama with anyone in a very few steps, including anyone from Reagan, Cheney (cousins!), the KKK as well as the American Communist party. I’m sure I could also connect him to Jews for Jesus, the Tel Aviv Chess Club, as well as the Taipei Chess Association in a similarly small number of steps. So, what’s the point?

The reason that Cloward-Piven hypothesis just doesn’t pass the smell test is the actual empirical evidence. Under what administrations have jobs grown?

Hmmm. That’s just one aspect. How about national debt?

How about the stock market?

Now this isn’t to say that liberals are all good and conservatives all bad. Liberals in general have a habit of letting zeal overcome realism and pragmatism (something true conservatives now all but extinct among Republicans almost never did, though they may have had the opposite problem). But to take seriously almost anything posted in the parent here takes a huge grain of salt. Maybe a conspiracy forum should be created to handle topics like this?

There’s a reason I went from voting 100% Republican to preferring Democrats. It’s the little absence of actual conservatism in the nominally conservative party. And now they are pushing conspiracy theories, smear campaigns, and fear mongering to hold on to those cushy arrangements in government. Sheesh.

somebody had fun exploring the possibilities offered by their free version of Microsoft Chart. Whoopee!

Yeah, somebody did, but I’m not sure who. Those charts are all attributed to the sites they’re linked from, not me. Anyway, if I wanted to plot them myself, I’d use my application of choice, R. I haven’t used Windows since the 20th century and only use Office when collaborating with my colleagues forces me to.

But back to the thread. It just goes to show how easy a simply Google Image search can turn up all kinds of information about the actual performance of government. Orchestrated disasters? If that’s really the case, then I’d have to say the Democrats are demonically precise. They’ve manged to orchestrate all of those disasters so carefully, that they ALWAYS happen during the Republicans’ watch. No wonder Tainan Cowboy fears them so.

um alteris, i was referring to the first post, not yours. yours are boring, unimaginative, and factual. TC’s offering is fun, fantastic and flippant.

This isn’t the crossfire forum so you really can’t say anything about that chart. I did find it very amusing.

:bravo: :bravo:

I find most of the links provide TC, to be so far to the right, I’m not too surprised by the constant 90 degree turns you’re making. You can comment from afar, but the one thing I take issue with is the slight hinting about Obama’s being connected to corruption or is somehow apart of that in Chicago. You have to understand Chicago politics FULLY to get that a “nobody sent by nobody” isn’t going to get very far in this town. Actually, Obama is rather “clean” to have gotten as far as he has with out the baggage of Chicago politicians/politics. And this constant harping on his 20 year affiliation with a PASTOR, not a church(as its members do not fully represent the ideas of the pastor. He, and he alone can do that) should not be held against him, considering the deeply embedded nature of U.S. racism perpetrated by quite a few white leaders, in the pulpit and in government, for years. Don’t forget that McCain has been associated with men of the cloth who are just as guilty.

Sounds like Kerry versus Bush. Oh my, it is a sin to be factual and boring! And dare I say, competent and correct? The way I see it, you either do it straight and boring and get it right or you gotta actually be good at satire. You have to be Walter Cronkite or you have to swing it like PJ O’Roarke, Bill Maher, or Jon Stewart. None of this intermediate Sean Hannity/Crossfire/Olberman/O’Reilly dreck.

But there I ago again, being boring. Let’s go back to the reality show, shall we?

TC-this is very exciting news, an anti-American, communist, socialist, radical leftist mesh will soon take over in Washington. The world’s great citadel of capitalism is going to be toppled from within, and socialism will spread forth across the world.

All the banks and corporations that have given millions to the Obama campaign appear to be completely unaware that they are donating money to further their own destruction. The hated mainstream media also seem blissfully unaware that they may turned into nothing more than a government mouthpiece, and still they blindly support their “saviour.” All of America is sleep walking into a takeover by a bunch of anti-American commies, and only a few right-wing internet bloggers know “the truth”. TC- you have about a month to save your country!

I find it hard to believe you could get any further left wing than Bush and his gang of clowns without emptying the cities and kicking off the killing fields.

Fidel to Chavez: “Hey carrumba! Did you see what those yankees have nationalised now! And we’re the equity wrecking socialists?!!”

HG

So what can we do? Do we just sit back and allow Communist infiltration, Communist indoctrination, Communist subversion and the international Communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids?

Excellent! That’s exactly the kind of leader we need. Have you got any other good candidates from that stew to recommend for us, TC?

Well, Lenin said when the last capitalist is hanged, it will be with a rope he has just sold us.

The Clemens- Piven strategy:

"Their article called for “cadres of aggressive organizers” to use “demonstrations to create a climate of militancy.” Intimidated by threats of black violence, politicians would appeal to the federal government for help. Carefully orchestrated media campaigns, carried out by friendly, leftwing journalists, would float the idea of “a federal program of income redistribution,” in the form of a guaranteed living income for all – working and non-working people alike. Local officials would clutch at this idea like drowning men to a lifeline. They would apply pressure on Washington to implement it. With every major city erupting into chaos, Washington would have to act. "

And of course, key figures boring from within like Milton Friedman and Richard Nixon would serve as stalking horses to deliver the system into the hands of the socialists by implementing the negative income tax- luckily, Watergate saved us all from this communist nightmare.

Actually, I think I saw that exact same chart on the wall of Russell Crowe’s shed in “A Beautiful Mind”.

Waiting for TC’s breakthrough moment:

" They never get any older- Bill Ayers isn’t a revolutionary mastermind plotting to overthrow the system; he’s just an aging spoiled brat who played at radical politics to piss off daddy before going back to his life of upper-middle class comfort".

Then, after years of rehabilitation…

I wanna see some report cards, and I wanna see 'em NOW!

What have these candidates got to hide?!!!

My last trip home, Mom brought out all (and I DO mean ALL) of my old report cards.

I was amused (and a little embarrassed) to note that I had recieved NI (needs improvement) in “Use of hankie”

. . . in kindergarten.

Ha Ha! Good one, zender! You crack me up. :notworthy:

I think the next debate should be on Obama and McCain’s K-12 report cards.

McCain: That “C” in 7th grade science back in 1949? . . . Due to grade inflation, that would equal your B plus.

Obama: Senator McCain and I agree on the problems of grade inflation. However, what the distinguished Senator does not understand, is that 7th grade science was 35 percent more difficult after the discoveries made by Watson and Crick.

What the hell just happened there?

Make a post then forget to sign into the smurf account to laugh at yourself?

Hey, I got nothin’ to hide.

Unlike some unsavory candidates for POTUS!!!

This is a joke, right? That diagram of the conspiracy gave it away immediately. You got it from the Luminatti website and changed the names from the names of famous Jews and the royal family. Or is it just that I’m Canadian and no one except an American could fall for this?
