Of all the teams, Japan is the one that shouldn’t complain about the pause. Tons of NPB pitchers have that awkward pause.

I thought that was silly. Their own pitchers do it.
Pitching is the art of deception. Throwing batters off any way that’s legal is fair play. I loved how he would only do it on his curve balls and then switched it up to do it on his fast balls to mess with the batters even more.
What a U15 comeback!
Proud of our boys for not giving up. Playing Japan is so annoying. I hope we don’t play them in the LLWS international championship.
Top of the 7th, we had the bases loaded with two outs and were down 3 runs. The announcers noticed that the outfield usually plays deep so that nothing gets behind them. Instead, they were playing shallow to prevent any runs from scoring.
A couple of runs later, bases still loaded, and someone indeed hits it over their heads for a 3-run double.
I wonder what the Japanese coach was smoking.
Puerto Rico scored 6 runs in the top of the first.
6-0 U15.
Goodness gracious.
U15: We need Japan to lose to Nicaragua if we want to go to the gold medal game, because PR beat us for the tiebreaker. Not likely.
LLWS: Playing Venezuela for the international championship.
We won against Venezuela for the international championship, but lost to Florida in the final.
Bringing Taiwan to the World and the World to Taiwan
I guess it’s already over.
Kuei-Shan Elementary lost a closely fought championship match against a team from Lake Mary, Florida, in the finals of the Little League Baseball World Series finals in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, on Sunday (Aug. 25).
The Taiwan team led throughout much of the game, facing many opportunities to pull ahead with bases loaded opportunities. However, the US opponent fought hard to hang around, and in the eighth inning, a bunt and fielding error led to a US victory by a final score of 1-2.
Hear breaking loss for the Taiwanese kids. But good to see the other team showing good sportsmanship after the game.
Anybody else watch Florida’s game vs Texas the night before?
Great game. Florida came back from down 4, then from down 3. One of the best LL games I’ve ever watched. Winning a game like that can add resiliency, and probably helped them in the championship the next day against Taiwan.
Hats off to the kids from Taoyuan, though. They did very, very well and were great ambassadors for Taiwan.
