Yu Chang had his 100th major leagues hit in today’s game, and he followed that up with a back-to-back home run.

Yu Chang’s the first Taiwanese player to get to 100 hits in the majors.

Yu Chang DFAed to open up the roster for Wander Franco’s return from IL.
The Red Sox has picked him up.

Yu Chang has a 2 hit game in his second game with the Red Soxs, one single, and one deep double that hit the wall. He also got walked twice and hit a really strong line drive that would have been his 3rd hit of the game.

Nice to see him being aggressive on a 2-0 count. Gave him a flat sinker right down the middle.

Hopefully he gets a bit more consistent staying in the same club.

He has been pretty consistent since he was traded to the Rays I think. COVID really tanked the first half of the season for him.

Yu Chang struggled for the first couple of weeks after getting past the visa problems and finally returning to the Red Sox after the WBC.

His first hit since returning to the MLB was a home run.

He then gave the Red Sox the lead in the bottom of the 8th with bases loaded.

After taking a paternity day off to hang out with his newborn daughter in Taiwan over the phone, he blasted his second home run of the season.

Most of his stats look pretty terrible still, but that can all change in a couple of weeks if he can keep this up.

Yu Chang hit hist 3rd home run in the Apr 22 game against the Brewers.

He had 2 singles the following day, and 2 strong line drives that were robbed.

Yup. Two line drives but then one of his angles was a blooper that the slow white CF couldn’t get to.

Yu Chang suffered a fracture in his wrist

So Chang finally returned after 3 months of rehab.

His OPS is slowly climbing pass 0.6 after his return. Hopefully he will stay healthy can bring that OPS closer to 1.

Yu Chang got an other RBI single today, plus one walk and one SB. He needs just one more steal to lead all Taiwanese MLB players in stolen bases. It would only be 5, but he’d be the first.
