Soto has been one of the unluckiest players so far according to stats. Lots of balls with high chances of being a hit are being caught.
I think he’ll be alright.
But honestly makes me sad like Cano. He should have stayed with the Yankees.
Soto’s bat speed has dropped - still elite, but a pretty big drop at age 26 is weird. I wonder if he’s got an injury they aren’t making public.
Cano’s issue was he didn’t want to put in the work that Jeter or Arod were putting in. His talent landed him big money in SEA and then poof.
Soto? Yeah. IDK why he didn’t think he wasn’t a good fit. He outshined Judge. but not everyone wants the NY spotlight. The Big Unit was another all-star who couldn’t find his center in the Big Apple.
Well, that wasn’t his issue I guess.
I’m not sure what was. The money was there.
