What is Basic Aid? Basic Aid is a two day charity concert being held on May 19th/20th at the beautiful natural venue Moonshine Hill in Nanhu, Miaoli County, Taiwan. This fundraiser has one purpose: To support Basic Human Needs - an organization in Varanasi, India, run by two former Taichung expats (Jess and Dan – many of you know) who have been giving hope to underprivileged children through their school and orphanage. It is for a great cause.

A little more on the event itself:
The venue is called Moonshine Hill in a little town called Nanhu (about an hour and a half north of Taichung). It is this awesome spot with a huge stage carved into the side of a mountain. It's very cool. There's a cabin that sells food/beer and also toilets/showers. It is set up for this kind of thing. Admission will be 500NT with everything after expenses going towards the charity. People can pitch a tent, stay overnight and enjoy the music for two days. The music will start mid-afternoon on Saturday and go until midnight (with DJs till 2ish). Sunday will have music from about noon till five.
