I recently consulted a Chinese doctor who is known for giving “good” chinese names. I have changed mine in the hopes of having “better fortune” even though my time in Taiwan thus far has been blessed. It wasn’t my original idea to have a new Chinese name, but I’m fine with it
So now I have a “very good” spaking new chinese name, but have realized that I should change it on my ARC and other documents. I forgot about all that, doh!
How long should I expect it to take to change my Chinese name? The original name, like this new one, isn’t even really my name – well, it’s all contrived, that’s all I mean. These Chinese names do not appear on any of my official papers from home, for example.
