Beam/Pointer style torque wrench?

Anyone seen them here?

These are/were the cheapest type you could get in the UK.

For equivalent price I prefer them because there is very little to go wrong/out of calibration.

Just been quoted 3600NT for a made in Taiwan (presumably as opposed to China) model by special order from the Kaoshiung tool shed. Too much for the amount I would use one, really.

Plenty of “click” models available, of course, but they reckoned the beam/pointer style was “old fashioned” :unamused:

$1660 and this guy is in Taipei.

I can order you any of the Park Tools series stuff if that lead doesn’t work out but it’ll take a week or two.

The beam/point style is also good as a breaker bar. Mine has a 3/4" socket fitting.

Thanks both. That’s more reasonable, though more than I’d pay in the yook. (Draper do them at just over a tenner, ie 500NT).

I’m after a 1/2" drive though, since that’s what my sockets are.
