Beauty of fat: Now & Then

As many of you may know, being fat and volumptuous (woman) was once considered a plus in many societies as it signified wealth (and excess).

Currentlly, there are obesity “epidemics” as they are called in many modern societies where sedentary lifestyles, available fast food, and processed food combine to make a formidable foe.

I was surprised (and horrified) by a recent article describing how in Mauritania, people there still value the fat ideal, but to the point where parents often abuse the child to make the child fat.

This is in stark contrast to the bulimia generation of skinny girls and instant abs in the west.
