I’ve heard a few reports that Beer Laos Dark is now being imported and can be found in Taichung. Any one have any idea where?
I would prefer to buy it in bulk (six packs, whatever) instead of at a bar/restaurant.

The normal Beer Lao is perhaps one of the best of the generic national beers found everywhere in Asia: definitely better than Singha or Taiwan Beer, a fair bit better than Tiger, a touch of an improvement on Bingtang (sp? Indonesia’s, anyway) or San Miguel, in my opinion. Good for what it is. I don’t think I’ve ever tried the dark one.
In Taipei, Beer Lao’s been showing up in the Mitsukoshi/ Xinguangsanyue (新光三越) department stores. I’d start by looking there.
i found beerlao ok, its a light beer liek most of east asia, but i do like their dark beer. Never seen it here in Taiwan, if you know of a chain store carrying it, please post
