Being censored with Hinet

Okay, so maybe I’m lame but sometimes when I’m really bored I will check perezhilton.com or tmz.com for some celebrity gossip. Today I tried to load up those pages and I got a message saying that it was blocked because perez is considered “pornography” and tmz, “r-rated”.
I would hardly consider it be porn especially since perez will blur or block out anything “not suitable for work”. Has anyone had this happen? They both worked as of yesterday…weird.

Both sites open fine for me so I would say it’s your pc settings

Same here.

Are you accessing these sites from your home, or work? If you’re looking through work, it’s likely being filtered.

You can use an online proxy to view those blocked website. eg bind2.com or webproxyonline.info

I look at some pretty fucked up stuff over hinet…its not them censoring its something with your machine/network.

Ah, mystery solved. My internet cable must have been unplugged because my laptop had switched to wireless which doesn’t allow viewing of those particular sites. The wireless doesn’t usually work in my apartment so I didn’t think to check it.

Thanks for the help, though!
