What do we think of Asian porn varieties? (you may wish to post under a new username :laughing: )

I’m more familiar with the gay stuff, but here are some observations.

Chinese straight: whimpering xiao jies with ugly men who never show their faces. Endless sucking.
Chinese gay: unadventurous with even more whimpering. Occasional sex toys.

Thai gay: full on rogering, but a bit sickly

Straight asian porn tends to focus more on the women. It is okay with me. Western porn will sometimes show endless closeups of a guy’s grimacing face.
Western female porn actresses tend to act tough. They purse their lips and flex their muscles and say, “come on. do me. do me.” They frighten me.
Asian R rated porn uses masking, which still leaves many good parts visible. Western R rated porn uses cutting and closeups. Usually it’s just the guy making faces and gritting his teeth.

I once rented what looked like an asian porn video from Blockbuster in Taipei. What a disappointment. Then there’s the old Japanese classic, In the Realm of the Senses. The only time I’ve seen Taiwanese porn was in the early years of cable TV here, when they showed a lot of uncensored stuff. I remember watching a film that started with the Japanese-style interview of the girl by some bloke off camera. Even in the regular, non-cartoon soft-core that shows up on Tokyo cable at night (think Cinemax), there is a whole lot of non-consensual sex going on. Highly non-consensual. I don’t get it either. If you judged Japanese men solely by Japanese porn, they seem like monsters. But in my experience Japanese guys are just like any other guys. My exboyfriend is Japanese. We were together for 3 years and although he could be crazy sometimes (in a good way :slight_smile:, he wasn’t into anything too kinky.

I’ve got a lot of Japanese friends and they all seem pretty normal too. I can’t figure out why Japanese porn is so dimented.

Erhu, that is such a good point. I have heard a lot of people describe Japanese as perverts and refer to the Japanese porn, but if you look at Western porn, you would think that Westerners are into beastiality, snuff porn and lot os other disgusting things! Good point indeed!

I can’t understand the reasons for the “facials” in porn at all. Really quite disgusting to see. Does anyone have any idea when this trend started and, more importantly, why?
