Best hospital for eye surgery?

I’m in northern Taiwan, staying until the end of March. I’m looking to have some elective surgery, paying out of pocket. I have severe myopia, and I’m sick of it.

I’m a little too extreme for LASIK to be a good idea, so I’m thinking intraocular lens. I’m looking to make my own arrangements, because that’s what’s worked for me in the past. Can anyone recommend a good hospital for this? Thanks.

I had my eyes lased several years ago at Blair’s eye clinic in Taichung city. Best 40,000 nt I ever spent on myself. They’ll test your eyes first to ensure that any surgery will be successful. I’m sure they have a website.
Very professional and clean… the 2nd floor were the surgery is preformed is spotless…

here’s their website
Bair’s Eye Clinic in Taichung City performs LASIK surgery on 20–30 foreigners each month. Specialists at Bair formulate a treatment plan custom-designed for each patient.

Laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) is currently the most common type of laser vision-correction procedure. It corrects nearsightedness, farsightedness, and

The clinic offers custom wavefront LASIK procedures (also known as custom ablation). For patients with thin corneas or large pupils, Bair offers photorefractive keratectomy (PRK). Laser epithelial keratomileusis (LASEK) is an effective procedure for patients who have thin or flat corneas. For nearsighted or farsighted patients, an implant called a phakic intraocular lens (IOL) is inserted under the surface of the eye to serve as an internal contact lens. In a procedure utilizing intrastromal corneal ring segments (ICRS), two slim half-rings are inserted around the edges of the cornea to adjust the vision of myopic patients by flattening the curvature of the cornea.

Potential candidates for treatment at Bair’s must meet certain requirements for general and eye health. Visit its web site to check the criteria.
