Best Music Videos

齊秦 張三的歌

I love this song from the 80s, and the video is totally mental.

This has been posted elsewhere but deserves a mention here. Perhaps slightly NSFW.

South Africa’s Die Antwoord presents Enter the Ninja:

Their video Zef Side has done well – Taipei Times:
The clip was chosen by the Guggenheim Foundation, the high temple of contemporary art, as one of the 25 best Internet videos of the past two years.
“It was actually the best of the 25,” says a defiant Ninja (born Watkin Tudor Jones), the leader of the group, which later signed with American label Interscope — home of Eminem, Lady Gaga and The Black Eyed Peas.
Katy Perry’s Last Friday Night. Perhaps not up there with the best, but at least it harks back to the days when music videos were fun - and it calls in some heroes of kitsch: Kenny G, Hanson, Debbie Gibson, and Rebecca Black

Don’t laugh. This video still has cheesy attitude!

I totally dig Die Antwoord

There are some fine MVs in here. The list is somewhat lacking in local videos and I’ll be the first to admit that local videos are somewhat lacking… but this one by LTK Commune has always been a fave. It’s 7 years old, but the song and the video hold up well.

It’s definitely one of those ‘WTF did I just watch!??’ MVs. Sort of NSFW, depending on where you work.

The meaning of the song itself and plus the music video is beautiful.

Just found about this video, great tune. It never made it to MTV. Pretty sick! The lead is Buck Angel who later gained some fame as a porn star and does podcasts etc. now.

Have been listening to Sonic Youth lately.

Love the melody of this song.

Was a great band, Kim Gordon is way cool.

Not a big fan of their noise experiments in other songs, but I love them.

We listened to a lot of minimalistic weird stuff in the 80s. :smirk:

Not gonna let em catch me…
