It’s funny how anything Japanese and the price goes up by 300%. Their food production is probably significantly more regulated than here I suppose, but ouch, I’ll take the Chilean import blueberries thanks.
It’s amazing how kale can taste so much different based on the age. Bought this exact same kale at the store, same labels, everything same except the stems were much larger and the the leaves were bigger and thicker so it had grown longer. Not as young.
Grown in Tainan and maybe also exported to Japan.
Not enough LSD in that. Try sweet potato leaves.
Someone might be considered pretty stupid to spend NT$474 at Jason’s on 3 small bags of kale and 2 avocados.
But are they eaten and enjoyed or left to rot in the vegetable bin? That’s the real question.
Avocados are only around $50 each at PX Mart at the moment… cheaper than Costco!
The Quanlian has the cheapest Haas avocados I think. You usually can get a ripe one too
You could buy a nice chunk of meat for the grill for that money.
Might be?
Are any of these nutritional substitutes for kale? At Jason’s supermarket.
Sure. They’re green and leafy.
An excellent substitute indeed.
