I have two British gold sovereign coins that I wish to sell. They are both very old coins, and one is from 1817, the first year sovereigns were issued. They are in terrible condition due to their age, but should still be worth more than their scrap gold weight to collectors. I was thinking of selling them on eBay but I am afraid that they would get stuck in customs either in Taiwan or wherever they get sent. Ideally I would like to find a collectable coin store in Taiwan that specializes in or at least understands the value of European gold coins. Alternatively, if anyone on Forumosa is interested in gold, or sovereigns, PM me and I’ll give you a good deal.
