Does anybody have any recommendations of places to go if you have a baby?
We want to stay in Taiwan, but not sure of hotels here are geared up for babies, ie providing cots etc.
Just looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing.
thanks a lot for any help.
Casear Park hotel in Kending is great for kids. They have their own beach which they keep nice and clean. A kids pool and a newly renovated kids playroom in the basement which is lots of fun.
Ask for a garden room facing the pool. These are newly renovated with a small fenced garden for baby to play in, gate to the pool area and a nice jacuzzi tub for mom and dad!
Hope that helps,

if you don’t mind me asking, what did that room run per night? the website price is near 10,000 per night.
PM if you prefer.
I think we paid about 5000 off season mid week.

Not sure what you mean – are you only interested in the hotel accomodations or also local attractions? How old’s the baby?
If it’s really just a baby, I guess local attractions don’t count so much as the baby will be just as happy lying there playing with a yogurt container as doing anything else.
As for hotel accomodations, we’ve never had any problems with the various places we took our girl in Hualien, Taichung (great for kids; highly recommended), HeHuanshan (I pushed her to the top of the mountain in a stroller) and other locations, all of which we enjoyed.
We stayed at the Far Eastern in Taipei over CNY with a baby and toddler. It was really nice. We got a “Taipei local” deal, I remember $4,000 per night for the room, no breakfast though.
Not in Taiwan, but when I was pregnant with no. 2 we stayed at the Peninsula Hotel in Bangkok. It was wonderful. Beautiful pool, great service, inexpensive room service, beautiful crib for baby and lots of baby things like diapers, soaps, lotions, gym, etc. The staff looked after our son while we enjoyed the huge buffet breakfasts by the river. They now have some deals going on, it cost us 20,000 per person total for 5 days for 4 nights.
