Bicycle respray - Hammerite paint or similar (Rust-Oleum maybe)?

Yeah, I don’t think that’ll work, thanks. A lot of the components can’t really be dismantled into individual parts.

Well that’s the frame done anyway:

Nice! now you have to add some custom signature in white

Yeah, I’ve still got some Orbea decals somewhere. They’re very light metallic grey. But I’m not sure if I want to put them on or not.

I think you’re right that a white signature could look great on there, but I would probably do a piss-poor job if I painted it on my hand. I guess I could do something in Illustrator and maybe get some place to cut some decals out for me, but I’m not sure where would do that.

NO!

Dude, after doing that paintwork, you need to put something different on those pipes… something yours, and of course something white. You need some layout in a sticker, spray over it, and remove the sticker. I guess that some lacquer over the white paint would be more than advisable…

Well I’ll give it some thought. I’m not sure if I can get away with any more spray painting on the balcony, tbh. Plus I’m in a bit of a hurry to get this together now.

Almost back together now. I’ve been stripping down every component as far as possible and cleaning/polishing/re-greasing, so it’s been a slow process.

I actually got the crank done, but by that stage it was too dark to take photos. Should get this finished and tested out next weekend.

Well that’s it finished. Should get a few more years out of it yet.
