We had a wicked hissing snake inside our building last night blocking the front door and elevator and had no clue what to do about getting rid of it. It was obvious angry we had disturbed its pleasant, cosy resting area and let us know in no uncertain terms. It was dark brown with lighter brown stripes on it. I was curious if anyone else has had experience with snakes in their homes and what they did to get rid of them. I should mention we live away from a forested area so I’m curious how it made it inside the building and through the door.
They don’t bite, but they have a tendancy to cast spells.
Stare too long and they will spit at you!
Was it drinking a vodka and orange and using a video camera. If so be careful it will go for the stomach with the speed of a pissed up Canadian. But don’t worry it will say sorry afterwards!!!
u should call the fire department and have them come to remove the snake. Just tell them that u think it is one of the poision snakes here. if you dont feel confortable doing that read the snakes post that is posted below that should give u all the information u need.

Yeh but if it is brown and striped mate you have one hell of a problem. I reckon immediate medical assistance or as they do you here I think you should bleed that snake and pull out it’s heart as soon as possible.
Fire department definitely. They handle bees, snakes, alligators, bears, etc.
Is it a neighbor’s pet? Anyone have a grudge against you/your neighbors?
Firstly the snake is not feeling to happy and wants to get outta there,
cover it with a blanket to let it calm down
call the police or your local snake catcher
up here in Alishan snakes are always around… some come to visit the house and some don’t… just try not to piss em off…
Fire station always best one suited to call (said many times prior and correct). Very often, most snakes (not all) found in your house/living environment are not dangerous. Calming down and moving with a blanket can/does work. Unconfortable doing so, grab a few beers and watch the Taiwanese fire department. You can make a small house party out of it.
