I know those aren’t what you are looking for llary, but I thought someone else clicking on this thread looking for a helmet cam might like those links.

I wanna get a pro set up at one point. I’m kinda tired of having my nose squished into my face while recording…not to mention the reduced vision. I tried getting an expensive set up in Zhongli…but couldn’t find anything. Even getting a good Portable Media Player is difficult here. A PMP is like a portable hard drive which has Audio and Video In…and could therefore record for hours without stop. They show some in the links above.

My camera does great night videos…they are about as clear and bright as what I see with my own eyes…it’s rather impressive really. I use a Casio EX-P505.

My present set-up: [/quote]

The security store where I got my bracket sells tons of those PMPs. If you’re willing to throw cash at it, did you check out the stuff that plasma was talking about? It’s available in Taiwan but way more than I want to spend.

Were you doing a wheelie at the time?

I can (and have) set up a multi-camera system really easily and cheaply in the car. Bit unrealistic on a bike though, especially when your camera system costs five times more than your whole bike is worth. There are just so many times I wished I had a camera on the front of my bike - something weird/dangerous/funny/stupid happens every single night in Taichung.

OK… camera is up and running, not wonderful but adequate and gets decent battery life/recording time/low light recording. Also just noticed it came with a free second battery and takes readily available Nokia phone batteries… I get about 2 hours recording with the display off so 3 or 4 batteries should cover the longest trips I would end up on in Taiwan.

One final question for anyone still paying attention… where can I buy those handlebar-mounted cellphone holders? I know they’re available in Taichung somewhere because I’ve seen a few people with them.
