Bike path problems in Taipei

I noticed they’re building a new bridge that’s pointed directly at Sanxia. It’s got a pretty impressive bike ramp that leads up to a deck below the automobile deck and then it branches into two suspended bike paths. It should make the connection from the Sanxia side to the left bank a lot easier and fun. The bridge looked 80% complete. If anyone gets to ride on it in the coming months, give us a heads up here.

Taipei riverside bike path news

I noticed today, when doing a yoyo on the Shindian R. bikepath (from Bitan down to the mouth of the Shindian R. and back) that the bridge to connect the upper and lower, north bank, bikepaths at the bottom of Jingmei Park is almost completed. It’s two arched, concatenated bridges. When completed, riders will no longer have to go to the top of Jingmei Park, cross Jingmei stream on Shuen An Rd., and go back down to the north bank Shindian riverside bike path.
