A friend of mine at work asked me if I knew anything about the massive bomb scare/ evacuation in Birmingham yesterday, and I asked him if he was sure. He gave me this link:

it was on the BBC news web site days ago. It was all declared safe and everyone went back home again.

… not judging by that motorway sign in the link telling motorists to avoid Birmingham.

For those from Birmingham and points south, I have been advocating the production of a sign that says: “M6 The North - Closed” for many years. “'ands off our 'ills”!
Birmingham was closed down and noone noticed ? Sounds about right.
