Bitcoin is soaring

Both could make very nice gains. ADA because it’s ISO 2000 or whatever that finance thing is.
DOGE because it’s always very strong meme coins , the OG, and just takes one more Musk tweet to send it skywards!
DOGE outperforms BTC over the long run.

I don’t think ADA is good long term because the leader of that project Charles is a weirdo, it would have been 5x without him. I would put more in DOGE and indeed I hold DOGE not ADA.

I plan to sell almost all my crypto this year as this is the ultimate cyclical market. Stocks are just less heartrending and more reliable year to year.

Yeah, I’m a bit hesitant on whatever plans that Charles guy rolled out but ADA’s been on the upside for more than a week now.

I hold both and just recently got into SOL. Is SOL better than ETH for long term?

Anybody here made profits off SHIBE? I was thinking of playing it short term but got bored waiting for the red to turn green while other alt coins look more promising.

SOL is a great project , I am an old ETH guy so I cannot say which is better. Both should do well but understand large caps move less than mid caps in the parabolic phase. If SOL gets an ETF watch it soar. That goes for ADA too I guess although I think ADA is a bit crap.

That’s why many would have sol , btc or eth but then add in some Sui , AVAX and then app type coins in mid cap. You want to stay safer (nothing is safe on Crypto) keep 80% in the large caps.

If you don’t sell most at some time this year you could easily be negative at end of year.

Agree to avoid ADA. No one is building on it.

Going into this cycle, I was looking for the “new SOL” ie it had to be a new Layer 1 with a narrative (reason why it might be better than SOL).

I chose SEI and SUI as my new Layer 1 plays, but it seems that SUI will fulfill the narrative.

SUI has the MOVE language, which was developed at the Facebook Libre project and is supposedly easier to develop for than Solidity.

What is your price target for SUI?

Maybe another 3x from these levels, which is fairly conservative

Well yeah it would want to be since that’s only two weeks away!

$COIN calls are minting this morning.

On the daily TD-Combo chart, you can see where COIN put in a local bottom (green 9 with up arrow) on December 31, indicating a potential area for reversal.

I hold Jun 20 $250 calls and will keep these until COIN blueskies.

Bitcoin going thru 100k will cause a short squeeze and gain attention and probably move to 110k pretty quickly.

Yes. Looks good.

This TD-Combo chart suggests BTC should run for at least 4 more days before encountering its first potential area for reversal. However, the last time it perfected the set up (Green 9 on November 14), it continued to run through the full countdown stage (red 13 on December 8), and then some.

On this tool, you can see 92k was the support and BTC put in a local bottom on December 30. A couple more good candles and we’re off the races.

Historically, buying BTC at the beginning of a parabolic year (2025, 2021, 2017) has always been a good bet. So if you’re buying today with the intention of holding until the cycle peak (late September, early October), you will likely come out far ahead.

Good advice Mark and I got ahead of your call by buying again a few hours ago , I have to laugh that I am buying at a price of 100k per BTC and feel just fine lol.

I know what you mean, Brian. It can feel surreal buying at these levels. But Saylor is buying.

Also, the current price is not too much of a premium to the cost of production, which is presently $89k. At the peak of the last cycle (Nov 2021), BTC traded at a 300% premium to its electricity cost.

This is one data point I also like to monitor.

Might be a bit selling pressure as…:

The Justice Department cited Bitcoin’s price volatility as motivation for seeking a quick sale of the seized assets, indicating concerns about potential value depreciation.

Why the US under Trump might start amassing bitcoin, and what that means for its price

Eric Trump will be all over that Bitcoin.

I wonder if other leading cryptos will be stockpiled too? ETH, XRP … etc.

Only one way to be in on it. Buy Mortimer! Buy!

Looks like Bitcoin might not be the only cryptocurrency in Trump’s strategic reserve.

While many in the cryptocurrency community have been cheering on the pro-crypto executive orders Trump is expected to issue, one idea is causing more controversy: the idea of an America-first strategic reserve that would prioritize digital coins founded in the US, like Solana, USD Coin and Ripple.

In recent weeks, Trump has met with the founders of these coins and, sources said, is receptive to the idea.

Insiders, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, shared concerns that it could delegitimize efforts to promote Bitcoin, which is the asset they want to prioritize.

But sources also told The Post that those fissures take a back seat to what they believe will become a crypto golden age.

Chaparro, for one, thinks Trump has already set a new tone for the industry: “It’s a radical shift — America is so back in business for crypto founders.”
