The reasons I ask…
- You are awesome.
- Does the OS offer Traditional Chinese? if no, is there a way to install somekind of east Asian language pack?
- Any problems so far using this in TW?
Thanks in advance, awesome person.

I don’t own it, but my friend from US brought one here for me to tinker around with. As far as I understand, it works perfectly fine with Far East Tone’s GSM prepaid SIM card. It can view Chinese characters fine, but for input he mentioned you would need to replace the ROM with an Asia one - I don’t know the details, but I’m pretty sure the solution can be found if you search online for a bit.
Are you sure about this? I’m currently trying to get an American storm 2 to work over here and it’s been hell. I unlocked it myself, and put in my Far East One SIM card in (it’s not prepaid, but I don’t think that should make a difference), and I’m only able to make calls to a very small number of people. When I try to make other calls out it tells me their phones are unavailable, which I know isn’t true.
I’ve tried Taiwan Mobile and Chunghwa’s sim cards but they don’t seem to work either. I updated the OS on my phone and that didn’t seem to work either. I’ve heard you can go to Gong Hwa Technology Building and they can get it to work, but I just wanted to learn how to do it myself.
Mikshoton - I know I’m awesome and, yes there’s a language pack available for it. Do a search in the crackberry forums, I know some guy got it to work, although he didn’t make it clear whether it was traditional or simplified. If you buy the Storm 2 from Taiwan Mobile, it should work perfectly.
