Blog entries

on a blog, entries are dated from the day you post them

are there options for back dating?

i’d like to do something like a “memoires” so i would need to be able to post events that happened in the past,is that doable?

I’ve no idea how blogs work, but if you’re managing your own site then a Joomla installation would allow you to do that easily.

Yes, blogger does that easily.

can’t you just manually set the dates before you publish a post? There’s an option in WordPress under publish that allows you to change the date of the post.

Yep. Any decent blogging system will allow you to manage date entries as you wish. Joomla is not a blogging system, though. You will be able to manage that, too, in Joomla.

But Joomla isn’t very effective as a blog because it is a full CMS, and lacks some of the features of blogs. These can be integrated.

I use b2evolution and can change the date and time in a box on the bottom left corner of the screen.

brilliant!
thankyou all
