He defected to to the US embassy in Chongqing, then got hauled out by the Chinese. Since then he hasn’t been seen.
But it set up Bo’s downfall …
Too much intrigue. Better than a well crafted novel, but this is real life and it affects billions of people.

I was in Beijing when the army was supposed to have moved in. All I saw were camera toting Xiangbalao.
The inability to access Facebook is still amazing to me( I know you can VPN but still…).
Been following this story myself, guess there is nothing in the official media about it. Seemingly Bo and Wang were using hardcore torture methods and there is a power struggle there between different factions. Imagine you were an educated Chinese, what a shame to have no say whatsoever in who rules you.

Same here, but my donkey even has asthma and a broken leg. I’ve never cursed at the internet more in my life than when using it in China. I have a fiber optic cable straight into my modem and it feels more like a piece of string with a tin can on either end.
That’s the way we roll in China - one legged asthmatic donkeys, headed for the butcher’s board.

Here we are, twelve years later, with news related to Bo Xilai, the disgraced CCP official. Bo’s son, a resident of Canada, is apparently in Yilan for a health check (!!!) with plans to marry a woman from Yilan whose family owns a hospital.
