Bomb in Taoyuan pub?

I read a story in yesterday’s taipei times saying that a bomb was set off in a pub in Taoyuan by some gangsters trying to get money out of the bar.

Anybody know about this?

saw that article too …

must have been one of the bigger joints, as they wanted a substantial amount of money. i don’t believe they actually set it off, but it was ready to go off (with a telephone call?).

cops said they are worried because this is a far easier way to blackmail using bombs.
