I am currently researching the in’s and out’s of setting up a branch office here in Taipei with the head office registered in Hong Kong. If anyone has any experience in this area I would be interested in hearing from you.

Right, a genuine branch office to provide services and distribute imported goods. No, I haven’t established the HK company yet.
I tried the search prior to posting but didn’t have much luck.
I think a branch office is limited in what it can do. You will probably have to set up a Taiwan company if you’re going to trade.
