With all this talk about how feeble diplomatic ties are, I was wondering, from those residents who have the experience of being here in Taiwan when that happens -like South Africans, for example- first of all, how and if does it affect your own life here, and second, is there any important piece of paper/document/certification you really wish you had gotten/get done with before it became a hassle to get it?
Of course, if you are a scholarship student and suddenly find yourself without means ($$$) that is inconvenient, but if you are a resident, it does not seem to be such a biggie, or am I wrong?
