Anyone ever taught for the British Council - in Taipei or anywhere else in the world? What are they like to work for in terms of working conditions, working environment and of course $$$$? I’ve heard British Council operations can be a bit snooty with regards to the rest of the English teaching community and they expect their pound of flesh from their employees.
Go look at their website, and in particular their requirements for teachers.
Sounds like they want marketers and salespeople rather than teachers.
Doing a masters in TESOL at the moment and have looked at their website and vacancy listings. Just wondering what they were like as an organisation to work for.
