I’m interested to do a project like this also, once I have a workspace. But I’d go for something lighter than a twin reverb. The Champ has a good reputation as a small tube amp. I guess there would be kits/plans for those too.
What’s a good supplier to get the parts?

Hard to say without looking at the schematic but probably for shunting high frequencies to ground.
Somewhat dangerous. Valve amps operate at high voltages, so you need to be careful.

Yea, they hold the tubes. I have to drill the chassis for the socket though. I got the hole saws but they appear to be the wrong diameter.
