The winner of this year’s Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest, which invites the opening sentence to the worst of all possible novels, compares a passionate embrace to a processed-cheese snack.

It’s a laugh.

Those are funny!

We should run a similar contest on Forumosa.

Can we call them the Alezandria Awards?

I went to school with a girl (named Alezandria) who famously began one short story with “Clad was she in apparel of the finest quality…”

Well, since that would only really be funny to me, how about we come up with a name relevant to Forumosans and submit our own terrible writing?

Oh, goodie, this must mean that the annual Bulwer-Lytton winners are out. Thanks, BM. :bouncy: :bouncy:

Thanks for the link. It brightened an otherwise dull day.

Thanks for the entertainment, Bassman. Truly hilarious and inspiring!

And I love Rooftop’s idea of having our own dark and stormy night contest on Forumosa.
