Burning on to 2 Cds

Just say I backed up a DVD I bought onto my hard drive, but then I lost the orginal DVD (lucky I backed it up  ). Now if I want to burn it back onto a VCD, how do I split the file in two, to put onto 2 VCDs? Do I need to download some software? The burner software Iā€™m using is Nero.

Itā€™s no easy task and it takes a long time.

Iā€™m sure there are other ways to do it, but they will all be very similar to the process provided in the link.

I use VirtualDub to split big AVI files. Itā€™s a free download.

Here is another article you might want to check on Tomā€™s Hardware Guide.

Thanks, guys. That virtual dub seems to be just the thing. Iā€™ll try it later.

Brian[/quote]Virtual dub wonā€™t do anything until after things have been encoded in some other format (to the best of my knowlegde). Changing the DVD format into something usable (avi, mpeg2) takes hours and hours (and hours).
