Well let’s see Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan out of the terrorist column. Pakistan’s nuclear blackmarket shut down. 75% of al Qaeda’s top leadership killed or captured and more new developments daily in Pakistan, Abu Sayyaf and other Asian terrorist organizations on the run. I dont’ know but seems to me Bush is doing a lot that is great rather than saying a lot that is great which is the direct opposite of past US presidents and European leaders who said a lot of beautiful things but never really accomplished anything.
Was Iraq ever in the terrorist column? Nope. Libya still in? They’d been sitting quietly under sanctions for years – defacto they had been sliding out of the terror column. Afghanistan? Through typical Bush-style attention deficit disorder, the resugent Taliban has retaken a third of the country while America has been distracted with Iraq.
That must be something of an embarrassment… our big ally turned out to be our biggest nuke seller. Looks like Bush sure knows how to pick his “friends”.
And 75% of Al Qaeda’s leadership replaced with new guys, new cell leaders, and so on because U.S. attention has been diverted to the Iraq war. By the way, 42.3% of all statistics are made up – how on earth can anyone claim to have destroyed any particular percentage of a shadowy organization that even the Bush Administration claims not to know much about. For all we know, we’ve also wiped out 65.4% of all fairies dancing on the heads of pins.
Half of U.S. combat capabilities have been dumped into a desert wasteland that has no bearing on the war on terror or on the effort to keep WMDs out of the hands of terrorists. What Bush has accomplished is to pass up legitimate opportunities to take action against terrorists and to sideline 140,000 troops as effectively as if he’d sent them to Mars. 900+ dead and 5000+ wounded soldiers are a further cost to the useless Iraq war.
How many U.S. presidents successfully invaded the completely wrong country??

This does not include the Saudi crackdown recently which netted several more. The figure is about 75% right now of known terrorists. Your claim that this does not matter is akin to saying that why capture known mafiosos or rapists when others will merely take their place. The killing and capturing disrupts and sends a strong message. The message before was that American could be attacked with impunity.
Iraq sent money to the families of Palestinian terrorists. It had well known terrorists in Baghdad given refuge. Remember the leader of Abu Sidal?

No, you miss my point by not reading carefully again. Claiming to have killed or captured any percentage of terror leaders is meaningless when we do not know the total. It’s as dumb as saying we’ve wiped out 150% of all VietCong based on the blood trails, it’s as dumb as saying that my roach spray at home has wiped out 74.5% of all roaches in my building, or for that matter, any other made-up statistic.
Is THAT why we invaded Iraq? Hell, there are a lot of people giving money to support the families of Palestinians. The leader of whom you speak was an Iraqi citizen with severe health problems and who had dropped out of terrorism – in the world there are plenty of folks (Great Train Robber, etc.) who have basically avoided punishment by simply living somewhere without extradition agreements. Man, you’re offering up some weak evidence – some charitable activity for Palestinian families and one old, sick man.

Fred, Saudi Arabia has been a cesspool of corruption and anti-Americanism for ages. Please tell me what Bush has done other than get very, very minimal cooperation from them in the War on Terror?? Bush “got results” only in that Pakistan’s secret was blown while Bush was president. Oh, lucky day… Keep in mind that Pakistan was under sanctions from their first nuclear test straight until Bush lifted them.
