I want to build/plant a nice butterfly garden for my new home. Does anybody know of any local resources or plants(preferably native, but I’ll use foreign if it gets the job done) that would be beneficial to such an endeavor?

Try searching the Taiwan Headlines site (www.gio.gov.tw, link on the top bar). I know I’ve translated a couple of things on butterfly gardens for them, and as I recall, there were lists of plant names in the articles.
